Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CET Partnership) - TRI 2: Enhanced Zero Emission Power Technologies
The mission of the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) is to accelerate the clean energy transition in order to attain climate neutrality by 2050. The call was launched by bringing together several regional and national research, technology development and innovation initiatives from around Europe.
For the clean energy transition, the CETPartnership consists of 7 Transition Initiatives (TRIs), which address a variety of RDI difficulties ranging from discrete technologies to integrated systems, as well as various cross-cutting features.
The goal of TRI-2 is to create a pool of zero-emission power technologies and solutions based on renewable energy sources to serve as the backbone of the future energy system, delivering carbon-neutral electricity to all while also contributing to the system's resilience.
It is intended to contribute to the integration of zero-emission hybrid power technologies and energy systems within the framework of CETPartnership TRI 2, with a focus on renewable energy technologies, which are at the forefront of the clean energy transition process. In addition, it is expected that social and environmental sustainability issues including integrating renewable energy sources into the environment and minimizing the negative effects on biodiversity and nature would be covered.
The main objectives of TRI 2 are to:
-
Increase solar energy competitiveness, allowing for large-scale PV deployment and market penetration of CSP/CST,
-
Create large-scale wind energy of the future, bring ocean energy and offshore renewables closer to the market,
-
Expand the use of alternative RES including geothermal, bioenergy, and hydropower.
